Spotify founder and CEO Daniel Ek has reportedly enlisted the support of three of Arsenal’s biggest names, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Patrick Vieira, to publicize his interest in buying the club from its current owners Kroenke Sports Enterprises. Henry has been the most outspoken in his criticism of the club’s management of the three.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Patrick Vieira have backed Spotify CEO Daniel Ek’s offer to buy Arsenal from Stan Kroenke.
Arsenal’s appearance in the European Super League triggered last week’s demonstrations outside the Emirates, with supporters demanding that Kroenke sell the club.
During the demonstrations, Ek, the Swedish entrepreneur who created the music streaming service, announced that he was a childhood Arsenal fan and that if the opportunity arose, he would be interested in buying the north London club.
