The Brazilian Football Association reported English clubs that refused to release their players for the international break to FIFA, which resulted in certain players being banned for five days.

This weekend, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus, Raphinha, Ederson, Thiago Silva, and Fred will not be available for their Premier League clubs. The Brazilian FA has told FIFA that the controversial ‘five-day rule’ would be implemented. Clubs have been informed that if they do not comply, they may face penalties, which could include game forfeiture.
