Al Hilal captured the Saudi Super Cup with a commanding 4-1 victory over Al Nassr on Saturday, overturning a first-half deficit with four goals in a dominant second half.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al Nassr the lead just before halftime, capitalizing on a superb pass from Abd El Rahaman Ghareeb.
However, Al Hilal turned the game around after the break. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic equalized in the 55th minute, exchanging passes with Aleksandar Mitrovic before blasting a powerful shot past the Al Nassr goalkeeper.
Al Hilal took the lead in the 63rd minute when Mitrovic rose to head home a perfect cross from Ruben Neves. Mitrovic extended the lead in the 69th minute, receiving a pass from Brazilian Malcom and firing it into the net.
Three minutes later, Malcom scored Al Hilal’s fourth goal, seizing on a mistake by Al Nassr’s goalkeeper Pinto, who failed to control the ball properly after a pass from Aymeric Laporte.
This victory marks Al Hilal’s second consecutive Saudi Super Cup title and their fifth overall, making them the most successful team in the competition, three titles ahead of Al Nassr.
