Antonio Conte plays down “disrespectful” talk over a return to Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte believes it is “disrespectful” that he has been linked with a return to former club Juventus.

The Turin side have faced a difficult start to their Serie A season and currently sit in eighth spot after 10 matches. They are seven points behind current league leaders Napoli.

It has led to reports of a potential return to Juve for Conte, who won three Italian titles while he was manager of the club.

However, the 53-year-old has come out to pour cold water on suggestions of a move back to Italy, stating he is “enjoying” his time with his current club.

He said: “We have just started the season, many times I spoke about this topic, I always say to you I’m happy and enjoying my time with Tottenham.

“We have the whole season to find a best solution for the club and for me. For sure I’m enjoying the time to work for Tottenham and with these players, I have a great relationship with the owner and Paratici, I don’t see problems now or for the future. Both parties agreed to sign this contract and I don’t see problems in this moment.
