Arsenal is said to have contacted Lautaro Martinez’s agent as they look to sell Alexander Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah over the summer. Inter Milan, on the other hand, is planning to steal a move on Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Paulo Dybala who they plan to use as a replacement for Martinez.
The duo of Lacazette and Nketiah will be out of contract by the summer and will leave the club for free. Lautaro Martinez is seen as the ideal striker to lead the line for the Gunners next season. The Argentine striker has followed up his amazing 2020/2021 season in a similar fashion, netting 14 times and providing two assists for Simon Inzaghi’s side.
Reports claim that Martinez could have joined Arsenal in the summer, but Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea ended the chance of that happening. However, Italian outfit Calciomercato reports that the North London side stands a better chance of completing the deal this summer.
Diego Simeone is also interested in bringing the striker to Atletico Madrid, but it is the Gunners who have made the first move.
It is also believed that Inter Milan will be happy to cash in on Martinez as they look to land Paulo Dybala on a free transfer from Juventus this summer.
