Aurelien Tchouameni has decided to snub Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to RMC Sport. RMC Sport are reporting this afternoon that AS Monaco midfielder Tchouameni has picked Madrid over Liverpool as his next club.
The AS Monaco defensive midfielder will sign a five-year contract with Madrid, who will pay €80 million (£68.62m) as transfer fee for the 22-year-old, according to the report.
RMC Sport reported over the weekend that Tchouameni had agreed personal terms with both Liverpool and Madrid. The youngster had reportedly asked both the Reds and Los Blancos to give him time to make a final decision. And now Tchouameni has decided to move to Madrid, not Liverpool, according to RMC Sport.
In our view, Liverpool will now have to move on from Tchouameni, as he wants to join Madrid in the summer transfer window. There is nothing much that the Premier League giants can do now.
Liverpool do have a very good midfield department, but Tchouameni is one of the best young players around who would have made a difference at Anfield, not just for now, but for years to come as well.
