According to Spanish Journalist Gerard Romero, Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Bernardo Silva in a deal worth around €60 million.
The Portuguese playmaker was pivotal in Manchester City’s title win last season but feels his time with the English club has come to an end and is keen to join the Blaugrana.
Barcelona will bring in Bernardo as a replacement to Frenkie De Jong who they plan to offload in order to reduce their wage bill and register new signings despite denials from Xavi and Joan Laporta.
Barcelona and the player are on the same page and have only faced resistance from Manchester City. However, Pep Guardiola recently admitted that the playmaker could leave the Etihad in this transfer window.
Gerard Romero now claims that both clubs have reached an agreement and the deal could be done very soon.
If the deal goes through, Manchester City will be parting with one of their most consistent players in recent years.
