Barcelona Eye Arsenal Star After Gyokeres Signing

Barcelona aim to sign Arsenal Striker Gabriel Jesus

Barcelona have entered the race to sign Gabriel Jesus, with the Arsenal striker’s future increasingly uncertain following the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres in North London.

The Catalan giants are said to be closely monitoring Jesus’s situation, as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season. According to Caught Offside, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Newcastle United are among the clubs keeping tabs on the 28-year-old Brazilian forward.

Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and made an immediate impact, playing a key role in their surprise Premier League title challenge. However, recurring injuries have disrupted his progress. Most notably, the forward suffered an ACL tear in January, ruling him out for much of 2025.

With Viktor Gyokeres recently signed from Sporting CP, Jesus’s place in the squad has come under question. Mikel Arteta’s side has adapted well in his absence, and the signing of a new striker suggests the club may be preparing for life without him.

Despite rumors of a potential return to Brazil, Gabriel Jesus remains in demand in Europe. His contract at Arsenal runs until 2027, but the club could look to cash in now rather than risk losing him for a reduced fee later on.

For Barcelona, who currently rely on Robert Lewandowski as their only senior striker, the addition of Jesus could bring much-needed depth and versatility to their attack. The La Liga side are in the market for long-term attacking reinforcements and view Jesus as a potential fit.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will entertain offers this summer, but with interest from top European sides, Gabriel Jesus could be on the move before the window closes.
