Despite his well-documented problems with FECAFOOT boss Samuel Eto’o in Cameroon, Belgian coach Marc Brys may not consider a chance to head the Super Eagles.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, Brys has been contacted by Nigeria to succeed Finidi George, whose resignation has not yet been accepted by the NFF.
Brys has not denied the rumors linking him to Nigeria. However, he emphasized his contentment in Cameroon, despite facing public disagreements with Eto’o.
The seasoned coach recently guided the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to victories over Cape Verde and a 1-1 draw with Angola. These results have propelled Cameroon to the top of their 2026 World Cup qualifying Group D, securing eight points from four matches. They hold a narrow lead over Libya by just one point.
Brys’ leadership has been pivotal, steering the team through competitive fixtures and positioning them strongly in their quest for World Cup qualification. His success on the field underscores his commitment to Cameroon’s football ambitions, amid ongoing speculation about his future.
