CHAN Eagles midfielder Isaac Saviour has completed a three-year deal with Egyptian Premier League side Al-Ittihad, running until 2028.
The 23-year-old Nigerian star joined Enugu Rangers in August 2023 and quickly became a key figure for the NPFL giants. His performances earned him a place in the CHAN Eagles setup before opting to move abroad.
Why Al-Ittihad Signed Him
Al-Ittihad, one of Egypt’s most historic clubs based in Alexandria, confirmed the deal on their official channels, describing Saviour as a dynamic midfielder with strong work rate and vision.
This move continues the growing trend of Nigerian league talents moving to North Africa, where the football infrastructure and competition levels offer a significant step up.
A New Challenge Awaits
Saviour expressed excitement about the move:
“I’m grateful for my time at Rangers, but this is a new challenge. I’m ready to give my best for Al-Ittihad and make Nigerian fans proud.”
He is expected to bring creativity and steel in midfield as Al-Ittihad aims for a strong season in both the Egyptian Premier League and CAF competitions.
