Italian full-back Emerson Palmieri has now won a treble of European trophies, winning the Champions League and Europa League during his time at Chelsea and now the Europa Conference League with West Ham United.
He has also won the European Championship with Italy and the European Super Cup with Chelsea, creating an absolutely incredible CV.
The 28-year-old started the match on Wednesday as the Hammers beat Fiorentina 2-1 to win their first piece of silverware since 1980.
There were dramatic scenes in Prague as Jarrod Bowen was sent through in the final minute and the England international secured the trophy for the east London club.
Before the match, the Italy international was asked about completing the set, and he told the Telegraph:
“To be honest, I really never thought about playing at this level for so many big clubs, winning those titles.”
“It just felt like a reality too far away for someone who grew up in Brazil, like something unreal, that you couldn’t achieve.”
“When I moved to Europe [in 2014], I joined Palermo, who had just been promoted to the Serie A in Italy, so even then it felt far away, but look at me now. You always need to believe and work hard.”
Former Manchester United and Arsenal man Henrikh Mkhitaryan also has the chance to complete the Champions, Europa and Conference League treble on Saturday night when his Inter Milan side takes on Manchester City in the Champions League final.
