Football documentaries have become mainstream content in the world of media and entertainment lately, with Amazon Prime’s “All or Nothing” series attracting widespread attention across the footballing world.

In another such venture, Amazon Prime are now set to launch a documentary on FC Barcelona next month. The documentary will be titled ‘FC Barcelona: A New Era’, as confirmed by the club’s website and official Twitter handle.

The documentary is set to cover a timeline starting from Barça’s 8-2 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich to the current season, with special coverage of various notable events such as the exit of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

The series will go into great detail about Messi’s career and final season. Additionally, it will discuss Joan Laporta’s reinstatement as president and his role in helping Barcelona reshape the future of the team.

One would expect Xavi to play a key role in this documentary as well. As the coach of the current Barcelona side, the Spaniard may even dominate this project, having been highly influential behind the club’s revamp in the summer, along with the contract extension of Ousmane Dembele.

Barcelona have not set an exact timeframe on the release, but the documentary, produced by Barça Studios, will consist of five chapters and will go live by December.
