Frenkie de Jong to Chelsea advancing

Frenkie de Jong Chelsea advance

The deal to move Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona and Chelsea for more than €80 million is “ready to close”, according to Sport. The west London club informed the La Liga team of their interest in the player a week ago.
Chelsea requested to start negotiations with Barcelona in the previous several hours, and things got off to a good start thanks to their competitive offer.

The 25-year-old is said to be of interest to Manchester United. The Blues can beat the Red Devils’ offer, and they anticipate a “definitive OK from Barcelona in the next few hours.” They will need to persuade the former Ajax player to close the transaction.

De Jong and his team must choose between lowering the salary and working with Chelsea right away. He is currently more outside the club than inside.
His representative Ali Dursun traveled to Barcelona yesterday to meet with his client and discuss all possible outcomes before speaking with the La Liga team and Chelsea, even though an agreement was “practically reached” between the two parties.

The Dutchman is under extreme pressure, so before making a choice, he’ll probably agree to haggle over terms with Thomas Tuchel’s team. He wasn’t sure about relocating to London a few days ago, but Sport says he’s starting to see that’s the right course of action.

Chelsea will use every means at their disposal to persuade Frenkie De Jong with a proposal that will match his present pay at Barca. He might even overtake the highest-paid player at Stamford Bridge, according to the tabloid.

Sport stated: ‘Chelsea want to clarify De Jong’s position and he knows that he must make a final decision because the situation is becoming unsustainable. Everything is open, but if you stay, it is more than likely that you will have to make an economic effort that is not considered. And it seems that, now, he is more open to leaving for a club that gives him everything he asks for.’
