Friday Etim Joins FC Midtjylland, Aims to Win Danish Title and Shine in Europe

Nigerian forward Friday Etim has completed a four-year move to Danish giants FC Midtjylland from Portuguese club CD Mafra, vowing to make an instant impact in the Superligaen and on the European stage.

The 22-year-old striker signed his contract after a breakout season in Portugal, where he netted eight goals and contributed five assists, despite a challenging campaign.

“I want to help the team win the championship and do well in Europe,” Etim said after putting pen to paper.
“For me personally, it’s about developing and surpassing my performance from last season.”

A New Chapter in Denmark

Etim described the move as a major leap in his career, calling it a “big step up” from his time in Portugal.

“I’m really happy to be here. I’m both grateful and motivated to seize the opportunity,” he added.
“It was a tough year in Portugal, but I showed what I can contribute offensively.”

Etim’s Playing Style and Ambition

Known for his relentless work ethic, deep attacking runs, and sharp goal-scoring instincts, Etim is ready to bring firepower to Midtjylland’s frontline.

“I’m a striker who works hard, makes a lot of deep runs and wants to create chances – both for myself and my teammates. And of course, I love to score goals,” he stated.

FC Midtjylland are looking to reclaim domestic dominance and push further in European competition, and with Friday Etim’s FC Midtjylland transfer now confirmed, fans are eager to see how the Nigerian will elevate their attack.
