Ligue 1 club, Olympique Lyonnais are set to sign Nigeria forward, Gift Orban, BALLGIST reports.
The 21-year-old will move to the former Ligue 1 champions from Belgian Pro League outfit, KAA Gent.
“Olympique Lyon are set to sign Gift Orban, as deal is being sealed as @hugoguillemet revealed on L’Équipé,” reliable transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X handle.
“Fantastic signing for OL as final details are being sorted, it will be done in the next hours.”
The forward joined Gent from Norwegian second division club, Stabaek in January 2023.
Orban registered 20 goals in 22 appearances for the club.
He has slowed down this season with 12 goals in 30 appearances for the Buffalos.
Lyon have struggled this season and are languishing in 16th position on the Ligue 1 table.
On Tuesday, Lyon coach Pierre Sage said on the club channel that they are expecting offensive reinforcements. He set to get his wish as Orban comes with lots of promise and goals which they have lacked this season.
Gift Orban is expected to travel to France today (Wednesday).
