Former Golden Eaglets striker Umar Abubakar has completed a five-year deal with Portuguese club Famalicão, pledging to deliver goals in the Primeira Liga.

The 19-year-old Nigerian striker caught the eye after a prolific season with Gent B, scoring 21 goals in 27 appearances.

“I’m very happy to have signed for Futebol Clube de Famalicão. It’s a good team with talented young players and a strong coaching staff,” Abubakar told the club’s official media.


Abubakar’s Promise to Fans

The young forward vowed to quickly adapt and make an immediate impact:

“I hope to integrate into the team as quickly as possible and be part of a strong group. I’m a box-to-box striker, strong in the air, and I’m eager to seize every opportunity to score goals and help the team succeed.”
