Hugo Lloris describes Pogba’s World Cup absence as a “big miss”

The Les Blues skipper has opened up on how he feels ahead of the WorldCup in Qatar, describing Paul Pogba's absence as a BIG MISS .

Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 victory over Marseille in the final match-decider of the Champions League group stage, captain Hugo Lloris had something to say about the absence of Paul Pogba in the forthcoming World Cup tournament with France.

The Les Bleus goalkeeper has described the midfielder’s absence from the National team as a “big miss”.

Speaking after the Tuesday game, Lloris said, as quoted by L’Équipe, “There was always a hope to see him again. He is a very important player, more than important for the team.

“He’s been suffering from injuries for a few months now, he didn’t play much last season. Of course, it will be a big miss. Now the coach will make his choices.”

Pogba is set to miss this year’s World Cup in Qatar due to an injury, and the news in itself has been confirmed earlier this week from the player’s representative, Rafael Pimenta. He is however expected to be out of action for the next three weeks.

The French captain expects those selected players by Deschamps to put in their best performances as they look to defend their World Cup title.
