Man United’s troubles continue: Fernandes’ penalty miss and defense ailments add to Solskjaer’s early-season strain.

From an 88th-minute corner, Kortney Hause’s header beat David de Gea. The Red Devils were defeated for the third time in four games, and their third loss in a row overall. For the first time since 1971-72, they have gone eight league games without a clean sheet. In their last two games, United has had 55 shots, but just 10 of them have been on target. With a stoppage-time penalty, Bruno Fernandes should have given Villa a point. From a distance of 12 yards, even ‘Mr. Reliable’ couldn’t find the target.
