Ivan Juric’s future hangs in balance as AS Roma forces hand with replacement after defeat to Fiorentina

The future of Ivan Juric hangs in the balance as the Croatian technician is already linked with a departure from the Italian capital.

Following Roma‘s staggering 1-5 defeat against Fiorentina in their Serie A clash, the future of head coach Ivan Juric is now hanging by a thread.

According to reports from Il Messaggero, the club’s management is contemplating the possibility of sacking the coach due to the disastrous performance at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

After only one month, Juric may be on his way out of Trigoria following a series of disappointing results which culminated in last night’s 5-1 defeat to Fiorentina.

Ivan Juric’s dismissal seems increasingly likely: the coach has not been able to change gear, a victim of an irreversible crisis.

Leading the list of potential replacements is Daniele De Rossi, who is currently in New York, alongside the club’s owners, the Friedkin family. Since he is still under contract, there is a chance he could make a return to the team.

Other candidates being considered include Claudio Ranieri. The manager, who recently concluded his tenure at Cagliari after successfully securing the club’s place in Serie A, has expressed openness to returning to the managerial dugout.

Additionally, names such as Massimiliano Allegri, the former Juventus coach, and Roberto Mancini, who has experience with Lazio and recently stepped down as head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team, have also been mentioned among the possible successors.

It is worth noting that Roma currently sits in 11th place in Serie A this season.
