Fueled by a standout pre-season with Fulham, Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is ready to make an impact in the Premier League opener against Manchester United.
Last February, Iwobi delivered a decisive late goal at Old Trafford, and he’s eager to recreate that success this Friday.
In an interview with Fulham’s official website, Iwobi reflected on his previous triumph:
“It’s possible. I’m focused on creating more opportunities, and maybe we can achieve similar results. But what matters now is the present and making it happen again.”
He acknowledged the significance of the upcoming match:
“Facing Manchester United is a great test. They’re one of the best teams in the Premier League, and it’s a good challenge for us.”
Iwobi added,
“We managed to secure a win against them last season, and we hope to do it again to start the season on a strong note.”
