Jadon Sancho Makes Final Demand as Manchester United Agree Fee with Juventus

Jadon Sancho is close to sealing a permanent exit from Manchester United, with Juventus agreeing a €20 million (£17.3m) transfer fee for the winger, according to reports from La Stampa.

The 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants, demanding a €6 million (£5.2m) annual salary, which Juventus are prepared to meet.

Sancho Set to Leave Old Trafford After Rocky Spell

Signed for £73 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, Sancho was once one of English football’s brightest prospects. However, the move to Manchester United has failed to live up to expectations.

After falling out with former manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho was frozen out of the first-team squad and later loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January 2024. Although he showed glimpses of form upon his return to Germany, United have decided to cut their losses.

Failed Napoli Talks, Chelsea Snub Cleared Path to Juventus

Earlier this summer, Napoli showed interest but balked at United’s original €25 million asking price. Chelsea also declined a £25 million offer and even paid a penalty to terminate talks, sending Sancho back to Old Trafford.

Juventus, however, returned to the table and struck a breakthrough deal this week. According to Pulse Sports, the Italian side’s final €20 million package was accepted following a “positive” meeting with United officials.

Excused from Pre-Season, Exit Now Imminent

With just one year left on his £300,000-a-week contract, Sancho informed Manchester United of his desire to leave and has already been excused from pre-season training.

His permanent departure now looks set, with Juventus eager to finalise the deal swiftly and integrate the English winger into their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

What Next for Sancho?

Sancho will hope to reignite his career in Serie A, under less pressure and in a system that may suit his style of play better. For Juventus, the deal is seen as a low-risk opportunity to land a still-talented player entering his prime.

The move would also free up wages and squad space for Manchester United as they reshape their squad under Rúben Amorim.
