In May, the football world was rocked by Kylian Mbappe’s decision to remain with Paris Saint-Germain though rumors persisted that the 23-year-old would depart the French capital and for the Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
Overtime, it grew evident that there were only two competitors for his signature with Paris Saint Germain retaining the French man after several involvements from prominent world leaders, like President Emmanuel Macron.
Football moves so quickly that the summer transfer window almost seems like an afterthought.
The French forward has been pointed in his remarks since though, never closing the door to a future move to Real Madrid.
His current contract will expire with Mbappe still just 26 years of age and barring a turn in fortune, all of the world’s top clubs will be courting him again.
Speaking ahead of the Champions league dugout against Juventus, Mbappe revealed that he never anticipated to speak with French President Emmanuel Macron about his future, who informed the PSG striker he was vital for the country.
Mbappe did, however, make eyes at Real Madrid once more, as Mundo Deportivo reported.
“You never know what will happen. I have never been there but it seems as if it were my home, or something similar.”
It is quite the statement for a player to make about a different club. Rarely do players publicly address links to other clubs, let alone call them home.
