Libya Faces Setbacks Ahead of Super Eagles AFCON Double-Header

Libya will face a significant challenge in their upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles next month, as they will be without two key players due to suspension.

Experienced midfielder Faisal Al Badri, who found the net against Benin last month, received yellow cards in the qualifiers against Rwanda and Benin, resulting in a one-match ban.

Another veteran player, Magdi Arteeba, will also miss the match after being booked in both the Benin and Rwanda games.

The Super Eagles will host Libya in Uyo on October 11 before heading to Libya for the return match on October 15. Currently, Nigeria leads Group D with four points, while Libya sits at the bottom with just one point.
