English football pundit and Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has given his honest and interesting review on the chances Liverpool have to take in order to get past Real Madrid in the Champions League in February.
The Los Blancos side has become a thorn in the Merseysider’s flesh in recent years. They have eliminated Liverpool three times since 2018, including the 2022 final, which they won 1-0 thanks to Vinicius Jr’s goal.
However, the former Liverpool defender believes Klopp’s team can outrun an impressive Madrid side despite their poor start to the season.
He was quoted saying, “These games are three months away. We have a World Cup, you don’t know who’ll be in and out. Liverpool might have bought a midfielder by then. They’ll have Diaz back and Jota back I think it’s almost a 50/50 game really.”
Carragher admits the options are fair for both sides and believes it could go either way.
