Nottingham Forest host Liverpool FC on the back of an impressive goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek.
The Tricky Tees’ return to the Premier League has been far from a fairytale so far, as they sit bottom of the table with no wins in their last nine league matches (3 draws, 6 losses). Their woes are compounded by the fact that they are second worst for goals scored (only Wolves have scored less), and have conceded the second most goals (only Leicester have conceded more).
Liverpool on the other hand have had a rather torrid start to the season based on their usual standards. However, they travel to the City Ground on the back of impressive wins against Manchester City and West Ham.
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool: Team News
For Nottingham Forest, Jack Colback (back), Moussa Niakhate (thigh), and Omar Richards (calf) are all expected to be sidelined once more, and Harry Toffolo, who tore his hamstring against Brighton in midweek, will also be absent. Meanwhile, Lewis O’Brien continues to battle an illness.
However, there is hope that Renan Lodi will be available after suffering an ankle sprain, which could cause Serge Aurier withdrawn and Neco Williams moved into his preferred right-back position.
Due to Luis Diaz’s ongoing knee injury as well as the absences of Arthur (thigh), Naby Keita (thigh), Joel Matip (calf), and Ibrahima Konate (muscle), Klopp’s options on the left side are therefore limited.
With a crucial Champions League match against Ajax coming up, Klopp shouldn’t be afraid to make changes, and Mohamed Salah’s spot might be in jeopardy if Harvey Elliott’s fresh legs are used.
