Napoli Set to Fund Ademola Lookman Transfer with Osimhen’s €75M Sale to Galatasaray
Napoli are poised to reinvest the proceeds from Victor Osimhen’s transfer into signing Ademola Lookman, as reports intensify over the club’s summer transfer plans.
According to Italian transfer expert Luca Marchetti, who spoke to SkySports24, Napoli are considering using the €75 million guaranteed by Galatasaray for Osimhen to finally make a move for Atalanta’s Nigerian winger—a long-term target.
Lookman Too Expensive—Until Now
Napoli had previously shown strong interest in Ademola Lookman, but were held back by Atalanta’s steep asking price of €50–60 million. However, with Osimhen’s release clause set to be paid in full, the financial hurdle may no longer be an issue.
Marchetti stated:
“Napoli need to sign a striker as an alternative for Lukaku and a winger on the left to join Noa Lang. With Osimhen money, new ideas for the attacking winger are being born. Napoli could now afford a player like Lookman, who is expensive, and then go for a cheaper centre-forward.”

With Osimhen heading to Galatasaray, Napoli are planning a strategic attacking reshuffle. Marchetti revealed that the club could now target Lookman as their marquee winger, and then bring in a more affordable striker, such as Lorenzo Lucca, instead of splashing further on Darwin Nunez or Romelu Lukaku.
Lookman has enjoyed an exceptional spell at Atalanta, rising in value after standout performances in Serie A and on the continental stage. He was also recently crowned the Best African Player, a title that underlines his growing influence.
