N’Golo Kante returns to Chelsea training

Chelsea's N'Golo Kante has returned to Chelsea training ahead of their weekend match with Crystal Palace.

The midfielder suffered an injury in Chelsea’s second league game of the season with Tottenham Hotspur and has not featured since then.

In his absence, Chelsea have lost to Leeds United and Southampton, and are currently seventh on the Premier League table. Furthermore, the Blues have failed to win in two UEFA Champions League outings this season, losing 1 – 0 to Dinamo Zagreb, and playing out a 1 – 1 draw with RB Salzburg. In fact, the second match culminated in the sacking of Thomas Tuchel and the subsequent employment of Graham Potter from Brighton.

N’Golo Kante has been linked with a move away to Paris Saint-Germain, with reports hinting at his recent injury worries for his likely departure.

Chelsea first-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy also returned to training during the international break, and the return of the experienced duo is a much-needed boost for manager Graham Potter.

Graham Potter will be hoping to get off to a winning start in the London derby with Crystal Palace after seeing matches against Liverpool and Fulham postponed.
