Tottenham Hotspur executive chairman, Daniel Levy welcomed the President of PSG and chairman of Qatari Sports Investment, Nasser Al-Khelaifi to London last Thursday, where they held a lengthy meeting as the Qatari group looks to invest in a Premier League club in 2023.
According to SkySports, the Qatari owners of the French club seek to change their ownership approach in part of an ambitious strategic shift in 2023.
While many of Europe’s biggest football sides boast an elaborate multi-ownership network across the globe, QSI have interest in only two teams.Â
The Qatari Sports Investment group owns PSG as well as a minority stake in the Portuguese club Braga, but they currently are looking to be involved in more clubs despite rumours they may lose interest in football investments following the World Cup in Qatar.
Speculations surrounding the sale of Manchester United continue to come up after the Glazer’s family put the club up for sale with the Fenway Sports Group of Liverpool also among the list of clubs that might interest the Qatari investors.
