After falling behind to Florian Wirtz‘s early second-half goal, Portugal equalized through Francisco Conceição before Ronaldo’s decisive strike. This victory not only ended a long-standing drought against Germany but also showcased Portugal’s resilience and tactical prowess. Marking Portugal’s first over Germany since 2000, highlighting Ronaldo’s enduring impact on the international stage.

Portugal will now face the winner of the France vs. Spain semi-final, setting up an exciting climax to the Nations League. Cristiano Ronaldo also extended his goal scoring feat with his 937th career goal in the win and will not hope to win yet another international trophy with Portugal on Sunday.
