AC Milan have officially appointed Sérgio Conceição as their new head coach, signing him on a contract that runs until June 30, 2026.
The club announced the managerial change on Monday, expressing optimism about a new era under the Portuguese tactician.
“AC Milan announces that Sérgio Paulo Marceneiro da Conceição has been appointed as the Head Coach of the men’s First Team until 30 June 2026,” the statement read.
“The Club extends a warm welcome to Sérgio and his staff, wishing a journey full of success and fulfillment.”
Conceição replaces Paulo Fonseca, who was dismissed after just six months in charge. Fonseca’s departure followed a disappointing 1-1 draw against Roma at San Siro on Sunday, leaving fans disheartened and the club in desperate need of fresh direction.
AC Milan are currently 8th in the Serie A standings, eight points off Lazio who occupy the final Champion League spot in 4th.
