Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is in grief following the death of his father, Philip Enyeama.

Ballgist reports that Vincent Enyeama is now an orphan after the retired shot-stopper announced the sad news of his father’s demise following an Instagram post.

“To God be the glory for a life well spent, you were the reason a lot of people achieved what they achieved. You were selfless and generous,” Enyeama wrote as a caption to the video with his father.

Enyeama did not provide additional details surrounding his father’s passing but eulogized his father for a life well spent.

“You stood in for many, you fought for many to achieve their dreams,” he added.

“I am proud to have been fathered by you. It’s a series – your number was called. Farewell. God rest your soul in peace.”

Regarded as one of Nigeria’s greatest-ever goalkeepers, Vincent has been back in his homeland after ending his playing career in France with Lille in 2018.
