The controversial Super League has rebranded itself as The Unify League, aiming to reshape European football. A22, the competition’s promoters, have officially reached out to UEFA, seeking recognition for the new tournament.
The Super League Unify League will feature 96 clubs divided into four tiers:
- Star Category: The top 16 clubs.
- Gold Category: Another 16 clubs.
- Third and Fourth Tiers: Each with 32 clubs.
Rankings in each club’s domestic league will determine their placement in the competition.
A22 has promised innovation for fans. Matches will be streamed for free, but fans can also opt for a subscription. Subscribers will enjoy a range of features, including minimal ads, live statistics, customizable camera angles, and other exclusive options.
The Unify League hopes to combine elite competition with fan-first broadcasting. While the concept still faces opposition from UEFA and some stakeholders, it signals a fresh push for change in European football.
Discussions with UEFA are ongoing, but it’s clear that A22 is determined to bring their vision to life. Fans will now wait to see how the governing body responds and if this revamped tournament can finally take flight.
