The hard-tackling central defender was replaced by Inter Manager, Marcelo Lippi against Vicenza in February 1999 and in frustration he threw down his jersey as he walked off the bench.

The Ex Super Eagles defender said in a radio interview monitored by BALLGIST NIGERIA that loss of control will later cost him a transfer to both Arsenal or Manchester United.

Taribo West said he flew to England several times to meet with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in respect of a transfer, but at the end of each meeting the Arsenal boss will remind of that incident in the Serie A game against Vicenza.

He also revealed that Alex Ferguson was also interested in signing him but again his character was questioned because of that jersey-throwing incident.

“Your character can close your door” he warned.

Taribo, now a pastor, also commented on the incident involving Victor Osimhen and coach Finidi George.

“He should calm his head down” advised the ex-Super Eagles star.

“There is life after football.”
