The fans will see a new ‘Samu’ this year – Samuel Chukwueze

Two assist from Samuel Chukwueze for Milan against Man City

After a stand-out display against Premier League champions Manchester City inside the iconic Yankee Stadium in the US, Samuel Chukwueze has declared he will continue to provide such displays in the new season with AC Milan.

He provided two glorious assists for Milan to edge past City 3-2 in a high-profile pre-season friendly.

Last season, Chukwueze struggled to impress even leading to rumours that he may be shipped out on loan in the coming season.

However, the player himself has assured the fans they are in for an exciting time with him come the new season under new coach Paulo Fonseca.

“I like the new coach, he gave me an opportunity straight away, it’s important when someone trusts you. The fans will see a new ‘Samu’ this year,”

He promised after the 3-2 win over Manchester City.

He was the most expensive of Milan 10 new signings last season, but then coach Stefano Pioli preferred USA star Christian Pulisic and injuries also did not help the cause of the Super Eagles winger.
