Mohammed Kudus Set for Tottenham Switch After £55M Deal with West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur have officially agreed on a £55 million transfer fee with West Ham United for Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to multiple English media sources via Sportal.

The 24-year-old Black Stars international is now expected to undergo a medical today, followed by his official unveiling as a Spurs player, ending weeks of speculation surrounding his future.

From Ajax to East London, and Now North

Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax two years ago in a deal worth around €40 million. He made a strong impact in his first season, scoring eight goals and assisting six times in the Premier League, establishing himself as one of the club’s most creative outlets.

However, his second season mirrored West Ham’s overall struggles, as the attacking midfielder could only manage five goals and three assists in 32 appearances.

Despite the dip, Kudus remained a target for top clubs as Tottenham moved swiftly after an initial bid was rejected, submitting an improved offer of £55 million (€64 million) that has now been accepted.

Kudus Waited for Spurs; Refused Other Clubs

Notably, Kudus declined to enter talks with any other suitors, making it clear he was waiting for Tottenham to return with a better bid. That decision has now paid off, with his dream move to North London set to become a reality.

This transfer will go down as Tottenham’s joint-second-most expensive signing ever, tied with Richarlison and Tanguy Ndombele, and just shy of the £60 million spent on Dominic Solanke last year.

What Mohammed Kudus Brings to Spurs

A versatile attacker capable of playing across midfield and forward positions, Kudus offers flair, energy, and goal threat. His combination of technical skill, physicality, and creativity could make him a valuable asset in Ange Postecoglou’s attacking system.

With Tottenham preparing for a European campaign next season, Kudus’ signing adds depth and dynamism to their squad.
