Tottenham star Ivan Perisic admits that he misses life at Inter Milan

Croatian and Tottenham Hotspur star openly admits he still misses life at Inter and maintains it will always be his home.

Tottenham star Ivan Perisic has admitted that he misses life at Inter Milan after leaving the Italian giants this summer to reunite with Antonio Conte in north London.

Despite his achievements at Inter Milan, Perisic made the decision to leave in the summer to join Tottenham under former manager Conte, where he has made a strong start in the Premier League.

In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, he admitted he misses his former club and the city of Milan after joining Spurs.

“I miss it sometimes, Inter and Italy will always be my home. Milan is the place that I’ve stayed the longest in my footballing life.” Perisic said.

When asked if he was homesick and felt like returning sometime to Milan in the future, he responded saying,

“Homesick? A little bit but I’ll be back soon and have something important to do. The Champions League against Milan awaits me…”

Perisic, who signed a two-year contract with Tottenham for £178,000 a week, is currently one of the club’s highest-paid players. With the club presently riding comfortably in the top four, the wingback will be hoping to complete the season in high spirits.

Spurs is set to face AC Milan in the first knockout round of the Champions League when European football gets back underway in the new year.
