Trabzonspor Finalize €8M Deal for Paul Onuachu from Southampton
Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor have reached an agreement to sign Paul Onuachu permanently from Southampton for €8 million, according to top transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer had been delayed due to prolonged negotiations between the clubs, but both sides have now agreed on the terms, allowing the Nigerian striker to remain in Turkey following his impressive loan spell.
Three-Year Contract Signed
Onuachu, 31, has already agreed to a three-year contract with Trabzonspor, where he enjoyed a standout campaign last season. He became a fan favorite after joining on loan from Southampton, following the English club’s relegation from the Premier League.
This permanent move now offers stability and continuity for the towering forward, who had previously been signed by Southampton from Belgian side Genk in a €18 million deal three years ago.
A Proven Scorer Returns to Familiar Ground
Onuachu thrived in the Turkish league, bringing physical presence, aerial dominance, and consistent goal-scoring form to Trabzonspor’s frontline. His impact convinced the club to push hard for a permanent move.
With the Paul Onuachu Trabzonspor transfer now complete, the Super Eagles striker will aim to lead the club’s domestic and European ambitions in the upcoming season.
