Michael Folorunsho stole the show for Hellas Verona against Serie A giants Juventus in their league clash.

Little known Nigerian forward Michael Folorunsho announced himself on the big stage with a sensational finish against Serie A giants Juventus on Saturday.

The forward stole the show after scoring a contender for goal of the season to inspire his club Hellas Verona to a 2-2 draw against the Old Lady.

The 26-year-old star had been under the radar before but chose the biggest stage to reveal himself to more Nigerians.

Folorunsho showcased breathtaking technique to open the scoring in the Serie A clash, cracking home a first-time volley into the top corner to give Verona a shock lead in the game.

He latched on to a headed knockdown from a corner and unleashed an unstoppable strike from 20 yards that left Juve keeper Wojciech Szczesny grasping at thin air.

It was a goal worthy of winning any encounter, but it wasn’t enough to give the forward and his team all three points at the end of the day.

Juventus fought back, with Dusan Vlahovic cancelling out Michael’s remarkable 11th-minute opener via a penalty before Folorunsho turned provider for Tijjani Noslin to restore their lead in the second half.

Juventus would bounce back again to equalize; this time, Adrien Rabiot netted the goal to force a share of the spoils on the road for the Old Lady.

Nevertheless, the day belonged to Folorunsho, who dominated the headlines with his highlight reel volley in a remarkable big-game display.
