“We’re Ready to Win the Premier League” – Chelsea Star Declares After Club World Cup Glory

Chelsea Defender Levi Colwill

Chelsea’s World Domination Sparks Premier League Ambition

Fresh from Chelsea’s stunning 3-0 FIFA Club World Cup final win over Paris Saint-Germain at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, young defender Levi Colwill has made a bold claim – the Blues are now ready to conquer England and Europe.

The 22-year-old England international was rock-solid in defence as Chelsea shut out PSG’s star-studded attack, lifting their second Club World Cup title in history.

Colwill, who has been a revelation under manager Enzo Maresca, believes the triumph proves Chelsea have what it takes to challenge Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool for domestic dominance.

Colwill’s Bold Statement

When asked if Chelsea can build on their global success to win either the Premier League or the UEFA Champions League, Colwill didn’t hold back:

“Yeah, definitely. I said at the start of this tournament that our plan was to win it, and people thought I was crazy. But we proved them wrong.”

He added:

“So I’ll say the same now – we’re going into the Premier League and Champions League to win. This is the biggest trophy I’ve ever won. To me, the Club World Cup feels bigger than the Champions League because we’re officially the best in the world.”

Chelsea’s Successful Season Under Maresca

Chelsea’s dominant first-half display, with goals from Cole Palmer (brace) and Joao Pedro, sealed the Club World Cup final in just 10 minutes, leaving PSG shell-shocked.

The victory adds to an impressive trophy haul this season:

UEFA Conference League winners
FIFA Club World Cup champions
Guaranteed place in next season’s expanded CWC

It’s been a statement campaign for Enzo Maresca, who has revitalized a young Chelsea squad and restored belief at Stamford Bridge.

Premier League & Champions League Next?

With Manchester City showing signs of vulnerability, Arsenal still inconsistent, and Liverpool rebuilding, Chelsea believe they have a realistic shot at the 2025-26 Premier League title.

The Club World Cup win also gives them momentum heading into next season’s Champions League, where they’ll aim to return to European glory.
