Wolves vs Manchester City – Match Preview

Wolves vs Manchester City

Bruno Lage’s side have only managed one win since the start of the Premier League season and are now handed the task of stopping champions Manchester City.

The last match between these two teams in Matchday 36 of last season ended 5 – 1 at the Molineaux as Kevin De Bruyne scored four times.

Wolverhampton Wanderers – who have managed to score just three goals in the league, will be hoping that new signing Diego Costa can help with their scoring problem. Furthermore, they will be banking on City’s away form which have seen them drop points twice on the road this season.

Manchester City on the other hand will fancy their chances of going top of the table temporarily, until Arsenal’s match tomorrow. Erling Braut Haaland’s goalscoring form will further boost their confidence. The Norwegian striker has already hit double-digits in goals after just six league matches.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:
Sa; Jonny, Kilman, Collins, Ait-Nouri; Nunes, Neves, Moutinho; Neto, Costa, Podence

Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Stones, Akanji, Dias, Cancelo; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Silva, Haaland, Foden
