The Samu Omorodion deal has been thrown into chaos and extreme doubt, with multiple reports emerging tonight of the young striker supposedly failing his medical.
The 20-year-old was held out of the gold medal game at the Olympics on Saturday, but we had all assumed it was because of the agreed move with Chelsea. Apparently not!
Reports in Spain have been backed up by the likes of Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic’s David Ornstein, so there’s little reason to doubt the veracity of the doubt that now suddenly surrounds this €40m deal. UPDATE: Fabrizio says that the two clubs are exploring alternative solutions. João Félix’s name has been brought up. Ugh.
