Remo Stars missed the chance to pull clear at the top of the NPFL table after being held to a 0-0 draw by closest rivals Rivers United.
The result left Remo Stars still in first place with 23 points from 12 matches, just one point ahead of Rivers United, who are in second.
Third-placed Enyimba also dropped points, drawing 1-1 away to Abia Warriors. Clinton Jephta put Enyimba ahead early, but Abia Warriors equalized through Adejoh Ojonugwa. Enyimba now have 20 points from the same number of games.
Defending champions Enugu Rangers climbed to fourth with a thrilling 3-2 win over Bendel Insurance. Rangers took a commanding 3-0 lead with goals from Godwin Obaje, Frank Uwumiro, and Effimi Nse, before Insurance mounted a late comeback with two goals.
In the Southwest Derby, Ikorodu City came from behind to beat Shooting Stars 2-1. Sunshine Stars and Kwara United both secured vital home victories, while Heartland continued their resurgence with a hard-earned 2-2 draw against Kano Pillars in Kano.
Pillars celebrated goals from Rabiu Ali and Ahmed Musa, but Heartland fought back to level the score.
Pressure continues to mount on Bayelsa United coach Ladan Bosso after his side were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Katsina United.
