Super Eagles rumored XI sees Boniface benched, Osimhen leads attack

Super Eagles head coach, Austine Eguavoen has opted to drop the misfiring Victor Boniface from his starting lineup as they prepare for the AFCON Qualifiers match up against Benin Republic later tonight in Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire.

The Bayer Leverkusen forward has been a regular starter in the coach’s set up so far in the qualifying rounds, but has failed to impact the games positively in either of his start.

He now looks set to be relegated to the bench in favor of an in-form Victor Osimhen who’s just returned to the national team following a brief period out of the starting lineup.

The hot-firing forward who is on loan at Galatasaray scored in the reverse fixture back in Uyo, after coming on in the second-half for his counterpart, Victor Boniface ensuring we sealed all points from that game despite being declared “unfit to play”.

Sources claim Eguavoen is poised to field a three man attack of Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen in an attempt to steal at least a point to earn qualification to the AFCON next year.

Benin Republic on the other hand, would be looking to avoid defeat to keep their hopes of making it to the tournament before their final game in the series against Libya.
