Paul Onuachu is closing in on a return to Turkish giants Trabzonspor, with negotiations currently ongoing between the club and Southampton.
The Super Eagles striker previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with Trabzonspor, prompting the club to pursue a permanent deal.
A formal offer was turned down last summer after then-Southampton boss Russell Martin convinced Onuachu to stay at St. Mary’s.
Despite interest from clubs in England and Belgium — where he starred for Genk — Onuachu has made Trabzonspor his preferred destination.
He is now in the final year of his contract with Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 season.
