Patrick Nwadike Signs for Spartak Trnava After Leaving IK Sirius

Central defender Patrick Nwadike has completed a move to Slovak side Spartak Trnava, signing a two-year contract following his departure from Swedish club IK Sirius.

The 26-year-old Swedish-born defender joins a Spartak team that finished third in the Slovak Super Liga last season, with ambitions to push higher in the upcoming campaign.

Fresh Start in Slovakia

Nwadike expressed excitement and satisfaction with his new surroundings during his official unveiling.

“I have a very good feeling. The arena is beautiful, the people I have met are very nice, and I am happy to be here,” he told Spartak Trnava’s official website.

A key part of the club’s recruitment pitch came from sports director and former Liverpool defender Martin Škrtel, whose vision for the club convinced Nwadike to sign.

“I was excited by what he told me. It made me feel like I wanted to be a part of it,” Nwadike added.

Key Addition to Spartak’s Defensive Line

Known for his physicality, aerial dominance, and composure under pressure, Patrick Nwadike’s Spartak Trnava transfer is expected to strengthen the club’s backline as they prepare for European qualifiers and domestic competition.

Nwadike now looks forward to settling in quickly and making an immediate impact as Spartak push for both league success and continental qualification in the 2025/26 season.
