Manchester United have held direct talks with Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as they explore a cut-price move following Leicester City’s relegation from the Premier League.
The 28-year-old defensive midfielder could leave the Foxes for around £9 million, although United have reportedly submitted an opening bid of £5m, hoping to strike a bargain deal.
Ndidi as Casemiro’s Successor
United view Ndidi as a more dynamic replacement for veteran midfielder Casemiro, who has struggled with injuries and consistency. Ndidi’s ball-winning ability and experience in the Premier League make him an attractive option for Ruben Amorim’s squad rebuild.

Leicester Exit Likely
After Leicester’s relegation, several key players are expected to leave, and Ndidi is high on that list. His current contract situation makes him available at a reduced fee compared to his previous market valuation.
