The English club’s deal with Adidas is set to run until 2035 and “has a minimum cash guarantee of £900million, subject to certain adjustments,” the team said.
“It is very natural for us to continue our cooperation,” Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden said. “We will combine tradition and innovation to please both the players and the fans.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with one of the most iconic clubs in football.”
This deal provides stability for Manchester United, at a time when buyers are circling around one of world football’s powerhouses.
Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and English businessman Jim Ratcliffe are at the forefront of a potential takeover.
Adidas’ partnership with United dates back to 1980 when they supplied the club’s kit until 1992. The partnership was renewed in the 2015-16 season and has been up since then.
