Extending Marcus Rashford contract at Manchester United is a priority as manager Erik ten Hag revealed when he opened up to Sky Sports on the Englishman’s future.
Rashford is arguably Europe’s most in-form player following the World Cup, and with 22 goals in 35 matches across all competitions this season, he is undoubtedly having his best season in a United shirt.
The forward’s form in front of goal has helped propel the 20-time league winners to third in the table and just six points off arch-rivals Man City but with a game-in-hand.
Having labelled him as a trusted and important player of the squad, coach Ten Haag seem to not want to see him leave the club anytime soon despite the 25-year-old contract running out in 2024.
“We can’t lose him, of course — we’re working to extend his contract”, Ten Hag said yesterday, per Fabrizio Romano.
With Manchester United still hopeful of cup success, with the EFL Cup final against Newcastle United set to take place in the coming weeks, as well as the FA Cup and Europa League, the club will be hoping Rashford continues in this form to give them a chance at the very least.
