FPL Gameweek 25: Top assets to consider ahead of the double

FPL Gameweek 25: Darwin Nunez
After a rather underwhelming Gameweek 24, Gameweek 25 is set to be a thrilling one, with four teams playing twice.

Arsenal, who are currently on top of the league, will face Leicester City away and Everton at home. Everton, under the guidance of their new coach Sean Dyche, will play Aston Villa at home and Arsenal away. Liverpool will face Crystal Palace away and Wolves at home, while Wolves will play Fulham and Liverpool away.

Arsenal – LEI (A), EVE(H)

Everton – AVL(H), ARS(A)

Liverpool – CRY(A), WOL(H)

Wolves – FUL(A), LIV(A)

Here are some of the best assets to own for FPL Gameweek 25:

Bukayo Saka – (£8.4, 36.6% TSB, MID) VS LEI(A), EVE(H):

Bukayo Saka has been in fantastic form for Arsenal this season, with nine goals and nine assists in the league. With Arsenal playing twice in Gameweek 25, Saka could be a valuable asset to any FPL team. Arsenal’s fixtures look promising, with games against Leicester City and Everton in the double. Saka is relatively expensive compared to other Arsenal midfielders, but his form and potential for returns (being Arsenal’s penalty taker) make him worth the investment. Furthermore, Saka is expected to be one of the top captain options this gameweek, with experts backing him for big returns this gameweek.

Mohamed Salah – (£12.7, 27.1% TSB, MID) VS CRY(A), WOL(H):

Despite failing to reach the heights of previous seasons, Mohamed Salah has been one of Liverpool’s most-consistent performers this season, with eight goals and six assists in the league. Liverpool – who have struggled this season, have a favourable run of fixtures coming up, with games against Crystal Palace and Wolves in Gameweek 25. Salah is an expensive option, but his recent form and him being a viable captaincy option this week makes him a very interesting pick.

Darwin Nunez – (£8.7, 10.2% TSB, FWD) VS CRY(A), WOL(H):

Darwin Nunez has returned in each of his last two matches in the Premier League and three in all competitions. He has the potential to be a game-changer for Liverpool, especially as Liverpool play twice in Gameweek 25. Nunez has had a rather difficult start to life in Liverpool, and even though he has failed to deliver on his underlying stats, the double gameweek could be a good opportunity for him to silence his critics and reward those who will be willing to take a punt on him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – (£7.3, 20.1% TSB, DEF) VS CRY(A), WOL(H):

Trent Alexander-Arnold has registered one goal and four assists in the league this season which is far from his usual standards. However, Alexander-Arnold has looked better in recent weeks and has an opportunity in Gameweek 25 with two good fixtures. His attacking prowess and ability to provide assists make him a valuable asset for any FPL team and with the odd chance of one cleansheet in Liverpool’s two games, Arnold could well be set for a very high-scoring gameweek.

James Tarkowski – (£4.3, 7.1% TSB, DEF) VS AVL(H), ARS(A):

James Tarkowski is now playing under his former Burnley boss Sean Dyche. He scored Everton’s only goal in their unlikely 1 – 0 win over Arsenal in Dyche’s first game in charge and hit the post with a header in their loss to Liverpool. At just £4.3m and 7.1% ownership, Tarkowski could be a shrewd budget option and differential to consider ahead of this double gameweek.
