The best strategies for this Gameweek will vary from team-to-team depending on team structure and available chips. However, before we go into details, it is important that we identify the teams without league matches this weekend.
The following four teams blank in Gameweek 32:
Brighton & Hove Albion
In subsequent paragraphs, we attempt to answer some of the most-frequently asked questions ahead of GW32 in the FPL community
- Should I activate my Free Hit or Wildcard in Gameweek 32?
- What if I do not have a Free Hit chip?
- Who should I captain this week?
- Which differential should I get in this week?
Should I activate my Free Hit or Wildcard in Gameweek 32?
After counting the number of starters you have with the exclusion of the blank players, if you discover that you are unable to line up with at least 9 players after using one or two transfers, then the best course of action would be activating the Free Hit.
However, if you do not have too many players from the teams that blank and you’re able to get 9-11 starters for Gameweek 32, then it could be worth saving the Free Hit until Gameweek 34 which is likely to be the biggest double between now and the end of the season.
If you still have a Wildcard available, the best time to play it would be in Gameweek 33 so that you can get as much doublers as you’d like for the double in Gameweek 34. Playing your Wildcard in Gameweek 32 could prove futile in the long-run
What if I do not have a Free Hit or Wildcard chip?
Without a Free Hit chip this week, your best play would be taking a -4 or a -8 at most to get in two or three players with a consideration of future Gameweeks. We would suggest that you prioritize assets from Liverpool, West Ham and Fulham for instance because they are the only teams with a game this week and a double in 34.
However, going beyond a -8 this week could come back to hurt your rank and we do not see the upside in doing this.
Who should I captain in Gameweek 32?
Based on the fixtures available this week, Liverpool and Arsenal at home to Nottingham Forest and Southampton respectively are the standout fixtures this week. Because of this, our top three captain options are from these teams.
